The power, magic and joy of words in books and in stories add so much to our everyday lives, and can even be life-transforming. Each Saturday in the Ithaca Journal Life section a community member shares his or her "Power of Words" story. While each is very different, the common thread of the importance of reading and stories in our lives, young or old, is clearly evident. Please help us spread the word that we are seeking people from across the community to share their "Power of Words" stories. The column length is 600 words. Please email Brigid Hubberman at
