The Staff of Color Dinner is an annual event that has been held each Spring since 2006. The purpose of the event is bring together all Ithaca City School District employees of color in an atmosphere of openness, support, and empowerment.
Sponsored jointly by ACTION! (Activists Committed to Interrupting Oppression Now!) and the Village at Ithaca, the event is an opportunity for school district professionals of color to discuss systemic issues such as institutional racism, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Attendees also fill out surveys, which help the sponsoring organizations identify areas that can be addressed with the ICSD. |
